Wellesley Child Custody Lawyer
Child custody issues are always decided based on what is in the best interests of the child. And almost without exception, the non-custodial parent is granted visitation rights. Feldman Family Law, in Boston, Massachusetts, has extensive experience helping parents work out child custody and visitation issues.
Experienced Child Custody Attorney
There are many types of custody arrangements that can be established. The most common is one parent being awarded primary physical custody with both being awarded
joint legal custody, so they both have some say in major decision that affect their child’s life. There is also
sole legal custody, where only one parent is given the authority to make major life decisions for the children.
Too often child custody issues become tied up in other aspects of divorce dispute. One parent may make false accusations against another to gain custody of children or to avoid paying child support. In my experience, judges look down on attempts to vilify one parent in order to obtain custody of a child. I strive to make the case for why my client offers the most stable living environment for the child, rather than concentrating on the deficiencies of the other parent.
